This section contains the auxiliary utilities for all SCIPROOF products. These utilities will assist with diagnosing and repairing technical problems.

Diagnostic Utility for sciPROOF

This utility is designed for sciPROOF® v.1.x for Microsoft Office.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with sciPROOF®, please download and run this utility. This utility will provide our technical support team a detailed report about sciPROOF® components and files on your system and will serve as an aid to resolve your problem.

IMPORTANT: The data collected from your computer by the SCIPROOF Diagnostic Utility does not include any of your personal information or security settings. This data contains information about sciPROOF® components and configurations of Microsoft Office only, and is used exclusively for resolving technical issues. Please note that you will be able to view the collected data before sending it to our technical support team.

After running the utility, a report will be automatically generated and attached to an e-mail addressed to our technical support team. In the e-mail, please describe the problem and include the exact text or screenshot of any error messages that you received.

Reset User Interface Utility and Registry File

This utility is designed for sciPROOF® v.1.x for Microsoft Office.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with the sciPROOF® toolbars and buttons, please download either the repair utility or registry file from the links below.

Reset User Interface Utility

This utility will automatically write information to the registry that will cause sciPROOF® to reset its toolbars and buttons. After downloading the file, close Microsoft Word, start the utility (the wizard will guide you through repair process) and then start Word.

  • If you are using Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Server, Windows 2000 Workstation (Professional) or Server, Windows XP, Windows 2003, please download file repair-resetui.exe (68 KB).

 

Reset User Interface - Windows Registry File

This is a registry file that contains information (a registry key) that will cause sciPROOF® to reset its toolbars and buttons. After downloading the file, close Microsoft Word and then double or right-click (choose "Merge" from the context menu) on it. The system will ask if you want to add information to the registry - click "YES."

  • If you are using Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Server, Windows 2000 Workstation (Professional) or Server, Windows XP, Windows 2003, please download file ResetUI.reg (256 bytes).

This utility is designed for Scientific Dictionary Package™ for Microsoft Office.

If you are experiencing any technical difficulties with Scientific Dictionary Package™ Microsoft Windows Edition (SDP-WIN32), please download and run this utility. This utility will provide our technical support team a detailed report about SDP-WIN32 components and files on your system and will serve as an aid to resolve your problem.
