GREEK SYMBOL CHECKER

The sciPROOF database includes the entire Greek Alphabet. This feature was designed to ensure proper use of Greek symbols and to automate their insertion. For example, if the user typed "b-catenin" or "alpha, beta, gamma-immunoglobulin," then sciPROOF would suggest "b-catenin" and "a, b, g-immunoglobulin," respectively.

Please note that unlike style, Greek symbols do not have to be setup in the sciPROOF database. If the user types the Greek letter, e.g. "beta," or the first letter of the Greek letter preceded or followed by a dash, e.g. '-b' or 'b-', then sciPROOF will automatically flag these and suggest the corresponding Greek symbol while spell/style checking.
