BACKGROUND SPELL CHECK

The following examples are screen shots of a published abstract (source: US National Library of Medicine) in Microsoft Word that demonstrate the background spell check feature.

This example shows the background spell check feature in Microsoft Word without sciPROOF installed. Fifty-one correctly spelled scientific terms are underlined in red because they are not recognized by the native Office spell checker.

This example demonstrates Word's background spell check feature with sciPROOF installed. Only three terms were not recognized (underlined in red).

These examples clearly demonstrate that sciPROOF significantly improves Word's background spell check feature for scientific writing.
