Test items
To complete this step, you will need to perform the following tasks:
- If a previous version of Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta is installed, please do not uninstall it. The installer of the new version should detect the old version ("Previously Installed Version" page will be shown just after the "welcome" page of the installation) and uninstall it automatically.
- Download SCIPROOF Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta v.0.0.1.16 for Microsoft Windows (sdp-win32-beta-0.0.1.16.exe) and save it locally.
- Start installation and proceed with setup of Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta v.0.0.1.16.
- Start Microsoft Word and click the "About SDP" button to activate the dialog that displays a description of SDP. This dialog should show the installed software version. It must be v.0.0.1.16.
- Open "SDP Options" dialog. The following dictionaries should be listed in the 'Active Dictionaries' list:
- Dictionary_1 [good]
- Dictionary_2 [good]
- Dictionary_3 [good]
Please note that all dictionaries should be tagged by the [good] mark. If there is a different tag ([invalid] for example) or no tag, this indicates that an error occurred - please report it.
- Select a dictionary from the "Active dictionaries" list. The full path (located on the bottom left corner of the Options dialog) should be displayed under the "Full Path:" label. For example: D:\Program Files\SDP win32\Dictionaries\Dictionary_3\SDP-Dictionary-3.dic for Dictionary_3.
- Click the "Add SDP Dictionary" ('+') button (or press INSERT key) on the "SDP Option" dialog to add new dictionary. Try to add an existing dictionary – an error message should be shown.
- Add a new dictionary. C:\Program Files\SDP win32\Dictionaries\Dictionary_4\SDP-Dictionary-4.dic (this dictionary is installed, but not registered). A new entry ('Dictionary-4.dic') with the [new] mark should be displayed in the "Active dictionaries" list.
- Select newly added dictionary ('SDP-Dictionary-4.dic') and click the "Delete SDP Dictionary" ("-") button (or select the dictionary and press DELETE key - the selected dictionary should be marked as [deleted].
- Re-add deleted dictionary ('SDP-Dictionary-4.dic') - the dictionary should be marked as [new].
- Click OK to apply the changes and close the "SDP Options" dialog.
- Close and re-open Word and then open the "SDP Options" dialog. The following dictionaries should be listed in the 'Active Dictionaries' list:
- Dictionary_1 [good]
- Dictionary_2 [good]
- Dictionary_3 [good]
- SDP-Dictionary-4 [good]
- Start uninstallation and proceed with uninstalling Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta v.0.0.1.16.
- Start installation of Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta v.0.0.1.16 once more. This time the setup should not require your USERNAME and PASSWORD to activate Scientific Dictionary Package (SDP) Beta (because it saved the activation key from the previous successful installation/activation). Finish the installation.
- Start Microsoft Word and open "SDP Options" dialog. Click "Help" ("?") button - the "Help for SDP" window should be opened and the "Options: Management of SDP Custom Dictionaries" topic should be displayed.
